Starting in the July School Holidays 2008, we began running holiday riding programs.

Program dates for rest of 2012 are: April 9th to 13th (yes we still run the program on public holidays!) and April 16th to 20th.
Starting from the April Program 2011 we introduced a residential option which has proven to be very popular. Price includes accomodation (bring a sleeping bag) meals, use of showers and use of helmets and other equine equipment. One night and one day is $100per child, One night and two days $160per child etc or a full week five nights and five days $450per child. If you are interested in this option please be quick!
July 2nd to 6th and July 9th to 13th
October 1st to 5th and October 8th to 12th
The most likely dates for the Christmas holidays are: Jan 7th to 11th and Jan 14th to 18th and 21st to 25th 2013. Yes we are offering 3weeks for the summer program!
Each day consists of a lesson with children split into groups appropriate to their ability (beginners are lead) followed by a group game plus another hour on horseback in the afternoon (weather permitting) including gymkhana games, lunging, vaulting, pony care, jumping course, treks and much more!
The children will be assisted with grooming, saddling, feeding and watering their designated mounts as required.
Theory sessions on parts of the horse, colours and markings, parts of the saddle and bridle, breeds of horses and ponies etc are all part of our program.
A fun way to learn and/or improve on riding skills, working with and caring for horses. The program will run from Monday to Friday for 2 weeks (wet or fine) and children can attend from one day to all 10days! 9.00am to 3.30pm daily earlier drop off and later pick ups can be arranged if required! The Christnas Holiday Program is normally held over the middle three weeks of January. Bookings are essential and payment must be made one week in advance to confirm places as the program has been so successful the children just keep coming back!
The program is run by 2 qualified instructors (plus volunteer helpers and some of the trekking staff) and includes a huge variety of games both on and off the ponies and horses. Summer programs also include riding down to the river and going for a swim which the kids really love. We would love to encourage your child to love, respect and enjoy horses whilst building their own self confidence and experience.
